mariPOC is a multianalyte respiratory infection rapid test for point-of-care diagnostic use.

Random-access plate readerThe analytes are:

  • Influenza A virus
  • Influenza B virus
  • RS-virus
  • Parainfluenza 1 virus
  • Parainfluenza 2 virus
  • Parainfluenza 3 virus
  • Metapneumovirus
  • Adenovirus
  • S. pneumoniae
  • Streptococcus Group A


Visible plateThe test procedure:

  1. take a nasal swab sample
  2. cut the swab in a test tube
  3. add 1 mL of RTI sample buffer
  4. vortex 10-15 sec
  5. type the patient information to the ArcDiagnoser software
  6. insert the sample tube in the analyzer
  7. start the measurement
  8. view or print automated results from 20 min and 2 h timepoints

This test system will be launched in the beginning of 2010.

The test system will be CE marked for IVD use.
